Chinatown
Since the early Chinese migrants had to cart in the fresh water by bullock-drawn carts, the practice of which gave rise to Chinatown's other name - Niu Che Shui. The former Chinese settlement has now become the key area of traditional Chinese culture. In Chinatown, you can find a variety of traditional arts and crafts, such as calligraphy, sculpture, and puppetry, etc. Many hip and stylish shops can be found in recent years too.

Tiong Bahru
Built in the 1930s, Tiong Bahru is one of the oldest residential estates in Singapore. But a lot of trendy boutiques and cafes station here nowadays, turning Tiong Bahru the hippest neighborhood and shopping area. Over 80 food stalls situated on the second floor of Tiong Bahru market are a hot dining spots these days too.

Orchard Road
Orchard Road stands for "fruit farm". Back in 1800s, it is known for its plantation of fruits, spices and all things fresh. It changed gradually since 1970s. Nowadays, Orchard Road is a retail and entertainment hub comprising department stores and specialty stores. indians are the third largest ethnic group in Singapore, accounting for 9.2% of the population. Majority of Indians Singaporeans live in Little India. Kampong Glam
Kampong Glam probably derived its present name from the gelam tree. The bark of the gelam tree was used to make awnings and sails. You will experience the hospitality of the Malaysian and Muslim traditions here. Also, the colorful shophouses and the Sultan Mosque are not to be missed.
