Museum of Islamic Art
The Museum of Islamic Art is the last work of architect I.M Pei, and is by far the most comprehensive art museum with an Islamic theme. Built on an artificial island just off Doha Corniche, the main waterfront promenade, its exterior is influenced by traditional Islamic designs, with geometric patterns and traditional arched windows, opening onto the sea, resulting in a stunning view. Under the large silver dome in the museum’s atrium, a 150-foot-high glass curtain offers a panoramic view of the skyline. It will be a worthwhile trip!
