Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced Hong Kong will lift a flight ban from 1st April. Moreover, the quarantine period at designated hotels for Hong Kong citizens who are fully vaccinated will be reduced to 7 days* only.
Hong Kong citizens who come back to Hong Kong are required to present a negative test result PCR test result conducted before 48 hours of their arrival. Other than that proof of vaccination and at least 7 days of reservation at a designated hotel are also required.
During the quarantine period, arrivals are required to conduct rapid tests every day. If the PCR test on the 5th day and the rapid tests on the 6th and 7th days are result negative, they can choose to stay at home for the remaining days of quarantine with a PCR test to be carried out on the 12th day of their stay.
