【The first step of planning your trip】 Check the validity of your passport

Date: 10 Aug, 2022
Resume Travel Passport validity
In the past, you may travel multiple times per year. However, under the COVID-19 issue, traveling is harder under different travel restrictions. While the “3+4” quarantine measures for all arrivals in Hong Kong will be effective from this Friday (12 Aug 2022), you may resume starting your travel plans. Under the relaxation of this policy, arrivals are only required to quarantine at a designated hotel for 3 days and self-monitoring for the subsequent 4 days.

When planning to travel abroad, please pay attention to the latest epidemic prevention information and check the validity of your passport. It is recommended your passport should have at least 6 months of validity, especially for entering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. If it is about to expire, please renew before booking your flight or hotel.

Apart from carrying a valid passport, please also pay attention to whether a Via is required when entering. Some countries require foreign travelers to apply for an entry visa under the epidemic. For example, please apply a Via when entering South Korea (K-ETA Korea Electronic Travel Permit), the United States (business/tourist visa), New Zealand (NZeTA electronic travel permit) travel authorization) etc.
